Office Policies
We are available to serve you, answer questions and schedule appointments during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
In order to guarantee exceptional treatment and personalized care, it is necessary for parents and patients to understand our office policies.
Appointments
We value your time and make every effort to stay on time. We have designed our scheduling system to best serve every individual and to help us work efficiently.
At Levin Orthodontics, we have a “no-waiting” policy. In order to implement this, please arrive promptly for your appointment. We ask that you call if you’re going to be late, because it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment. Most importantly, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
Long appointments, which are occasional, are scheduled in the morning and early afternoon. By doing this, we can see the maximum number of patients for routine visits before and after school. Shorter adjustment appointments are usually once every 6-8 weeks. Missed appointments may have to be reappointed during school hours because it could be four weeks until an after-school appointment is available. Frequent missed appointments will extend treatment time.
Emergencies
In the case of an emergency such as pain, swelling or bleeding, we will absolutely see you that day. Please call the office as soon as you are aware of the problem. There is always an emergency number where we can be reached.
Broken appliances or a loose bracket sometimes cannot be repaired during a routine appointment. It is important to notify us if a problem occurs with your braces so that we can schedule an extra appointment or lengthen your next scheduled appointment. When in doubt, please call. Recurring breakages will extend treatment time and additional fees will be assessed.
Financial
It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, as well as offer in-house financing with no interest and third party financing through Capital One Healthcare Finance. We thoroughly explain your options, so that we can accommodate your needs.
Insurance
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.
To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire.
Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
